Northern Rivers Housing (NRH) has been providing affordable and community housing in northern New South Wales since 1984. We manage close to 1,000 social and affordable properties from our offices in Lismore, Grafton and Tweed Heads. We believe that everyone has the right to live in safe, comfortable and affordable housing.
We are committed to our values, our people and our culture:
We are looking for an experienced Executive Manager with inspiring leadership qualities to join our organisation. Working in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Manager, Program Management, Performance and Risk is responsible for the delivery of innovative housing programs, as well as ensuring a robust approach to quality improvement and risk management.
With accountability for building a cohesive and responsive multidisciplinary team and working with senior stakeholders in NSW Government, strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. The role interacts with occupants, contractors, staff and other community organisations on a daily basis - particularly as it relates to the delivery of the Community Villages Program (temporary housing solutions for our flood impacted community) and the Together Home Program (a Premier's priority project to address homelessness).
Additionally, with carriage of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, this position is pivotal to ensuring the effective design, implementation, management and learning of the Framework within the business. This is with the aim of supporting an uplift in risk maturity, seeking an approach that complies with ISO31000.
The position will require some travel over the Northern Rivers Region; operationally, the position can be based in either our Tweed Heads or Lismore Offices.
Leading the delivery of our programs, you will be able to demonstrate a track record of operational and strategic management skills and experience. You will be driven and self-motivated with previous experience in a leadership team that supports the delivery of business outcomes, preferably in an environment seeking to better the lives of vulnerable people and communities. You will have highly advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships focused on performance outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be a positive role model who wants to work as part of a strategic leadership team.
Enquiries about the role should be directed to Carly Bairstow (Executive Partnerships, People and Customer Experience) on 0490 934 663.
We will be screening candidates as they apply, so submit your application ASAP.
