About the NLC

We are responsible for assisting Aboriginal people in the Top End of the Northern Territory to acquire and manage their lands and seas. Our most important responsibility is to consult with traditional owners and other Aboriginal people to enable them to make informed decisions about all activities affecting their country. Our vision is to ensure that Aboriginal people benefit socially, culturally and economically from the secure possession of their land, waters and seas.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing administrative support for a range of NLC projects. Liaising closely with Project Managers to progress projects in line with project strategies, plans and requirements. The main responsibilities include:

  • Assist Project Managers with project administration including updating and managing plans, calendars and schedules (meeting all financial, HSE, QA and risk requirements);
  • Track project deliverables, risks, issues, and actions according to quality processes
  • Coordinate financial, contract, procurement and recruitment processes
  • Track and update project tasks, registers and checklists to ensure the smooth delivery of project plans
  • Develop draft documentation for governance processes and project stakeholders such as managers, the CEO and Council
  • Coordinate logistics and undertake administrative services for meetings to ensure decisions and actions are recorded, tracked and communicated

About You

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Proficient with Microsoft and Atlassian software
  • Demonstrated experience delivering administrative services together with an ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Initiative, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptable, show initiative and problem solve

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • 3 Year Fixed Term Contract
  • Location: Darwin
  • Salary: $67,912-$72,011 per annum (pro rata for part time employees)
  • Allowances, e.g. district allowance and airfare allowances
  • FBT exempt salary packaging benefits pay
  • 13% superannuation contribution
  • 5 weeks annual leave (pro rata) & 17.5% annual leave loading
