Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking a dedicated individual to join our vibrant and forward-thinking Media and Communications department which is committed to excellence in public service and engagement with our stakeholders.

About the Role: -

As the successful candidate, you will work in a diverse communications role and have the opportunity to deliver high-quality communications for our internal and external stakeholders. You will hone your content production, media liaison, event planning and people management skills while engaging audiences through various projects and across key channels. You will be offered challenging work in a supportive team environment with opportunities for professional development.

What you will Bring: -

To be successful in the role you will need to be a self-motivated, senior communications professional who has:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in similar roles in complex multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Highly developed written and visual communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project and/or event management capabilities.

In addition to this, you will have: -

  • Demonstrated understanding of, and interest in, the lived experiences of Aboriginal people in the NLC region.
  • Understanding of the Aboriginal Land Rights (NT) Act 1976 and other legislation relevant to the land interests of Traditional Owners and Aboriginal communities, as managed by the NLC.

We offer:

  • A base salary of $98,725 per annum plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900
  • + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.

Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:

  • District allowance of up to $4,631 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2539 without dependents.
  • 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 15 days personal leave;
  • Paid Christmas close down;
