Join us as our new Project Officer, Strategic Projects where you will support the coordination and delivery of key projects and priorities for North Western Melbourne PHN. The role will also support the monitoring of the organisation's Strategic Framework 2024-2027 and assist with the annual planning process.

We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in our community.

What are PHNs?

PHNs have been established with two key objectives:

  • increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of services for community members, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes
  • improving coordination of care to ensure people receive the right care in the right place, at the right time

About the role

A typical week may include:

  • Prepare a range of project documentation such as plans, frameworks, presentations and other documents. Working closely with the Director, Strategy Implementation and Engagement and project teams as required.
  • High level administrative duties including undertaking research, preparing background papers, arranging meetings, minutes and following up actions as needed
  • Support the organisation with collecting data for performance reporting and processes to improve project management, documentation and tools
  • Build and maintain positive relationships and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and participate in relevant working groups and committees

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Qualifications in planning or business administration (or similar) and/or demonstrated experience in a similar planning/support role or formal project management qualifications and experience are desirable.
  • Demonstrated project support and problem-solving skills, including identification and implementation of workable solutions to problems while achieving agreed team objectives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills using Microsoft Office365 with the ability to write reports and prepare external correspondence.
  • Experience in building effective relationships and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
