About us

No To Violence (NTV) is Australia's peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence.

We provide training, sector development and advocacy across the sector. We operate the Men's Referral Service, providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence. As a pro-feminist organisation, women and children are at the centre of what we do - by ending men's use of family violence, families, individuals, and communities are safer.

About the role

The Head of Workforce Development will lead the development of projects and initiatives that build capability across the family violence sector. These initiatives will be offered on a fee for service basis externally and to our internal workforce as part of our commitment to best practice and ongoing professional development and will be underpinned by the latest research and supported by a robust framework of policies and procedures.

The Head of Workforce Development will build and maintain strong working relationships with key external stakeholders across the sector and will lead and motivate a team of education and training professionals to contribute to NTV's strategic goals.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, or social sciences or similar with a strong focus on training and development
  • Diploma level qualification in (vocational) education and training and solid understanding of the VET sector and its requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in sector and practice development
  • Experience leading and managing a sizeable team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing projects and other initiatives including budgets and reporting
