About us

No to Violence is Australia’s peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence. We provide training, sector development and advocacy across the sector. We operate the Men’s Referral Service, providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence. As a pro-feminist organisation, women and children are at the centre of what we do - by ending men’s use of family violence, families, individuals, and communities are safer.

About the role

The Marketing and Communications Advisor works to raise NTV’s profile as a thought leader and specialist organisation in men’s uses of family violence. The Marketing and Communications Advisor will identify and leverage opportunities to promote the understanding of the work of NTV and its members with key sector stakeholders and the broader community.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Marketing and Communications Advisor is a key driver in the creation, dissemination and evaluation of marketing and communications material, for both external and internal audiences, including digital and social media content.

Fostering relationships throughout NTV, the Marketing and Communications Advisor will gain a deep understanding of NTV’s service delivery, the work of our members and our advocacy agenda.

The role will continue to develop and maintain the organisation’s key message matrix and identify stories and thought leadership to be shared through NTV’s communications and marketing channels.

  • Salary: SCHADS level 5 (plus 2%) $99,324 plus superannuation
  • Role type: Full time, Ongoing
  • Location: Can be based in any Australian state or territory

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations, or related discipline plus relevant experience.
  • Proven writing skills across a range of mediums and formats, with the ability to develop an organisational tone of voice.
  • Broad generalist marketing, communications and media experience, preferably gained with in the community or ‘for purpose’ sector.
  • Proven experience developing marketing, communications and media activity plans to support brand recognition and increased audience and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing digital communications and social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube
  • Social media management and digital engagement skills including, analysis and reporting, WordPress management, and social media (inc. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn).
  • Excellent computer skills including high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, WordPress, Facebook Business Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and InDesign.
