We are seeking to employ experienced, enthusiastic Early Childhood Teachers to deliver 3 and 4 year old sessional kindergarten. The positions are located on the site of Primary Schools in Hume and Merribek Areas.

About Northern Schools Early Years Cluster

The Northern Schools Early Years Cluster (NSEYC) is an Early Years Management group that currently supports 17 kindergartens and Early Childhood services, setting the highest standard of professionalism in early years education in partnership with primary schools and community. We are committed to maximising outcomes for children in the early years, encouraging opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s early education and committed to promoting career support that is consistent, professional and available.

The Opportunity

We are seeking to employ experienced Early Childhood Teachers who will implement a high-quality kindergarten program. We currently have vacancies at York Street, Bethal & Roxburgh Park Kindergartens. This is an opportunity to be part of an integrated Kindergarten to Grade 6 Model and a passionate team that is committed to supporting the best outcomes for the children and families in our diverse communities.

The positions are from 22.5 to 23.5 hours spread over 3 days per week.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of child development and capabilities in planning, implementing and evaluating a quality early childhood education program.
  • Knowledge of, and commitment to, current reforms and trends in early childhood education and care.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and development.
  • A commitment to inclusion and equity and cultural competency.

About you:

You will have considerable experience in pedagogy, a strong understanding of the practice principles of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Standards. Our teams work alongside allied health professionals, including speech pathologists, psychologists, schools and community to deliver positive outcomes for children and families.
