KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include

The Harm Reduction Administration Worker will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring NUAA’s Harm Reduction programs run smoothly by supporting staff with administration and accounting duties as required
  • Effectively and efficiently co-ordinate and administer operational functions to support NUAA’s Harm Reduction Programs
  • Act as the Harm Reduction team’s first point of contact in online, email, and telephone queries when required
  • Assist with Research Data Management tasks by supporting DBS and POCT study activities, develop site-specific documentation, and maintain high-quality data management systems to ensure compliance, integrity, and security
  • Assist with program-specific project management tasks and service deliver incl. rostering, stakeholder engagement and communication, team management and support
  • Assist in preparing service proposals, quotes, reports, presentations and program evaluations
  • Supervise volunteers as directed
  • Assist with the distribution and reconciliation of program expenditures for NUAAs Harm Reduction projects as directed incl. preparation of program budgets in liaison with management
  • Compile data and prepare reports, ensure compliance with risk management protocols, coordinate resource bookings, identify operational improvements, and provide support across NUAA's work as needed.

SELECTION CRITERIA

About you:

You are able to work in a fast-paced environment and have administration experience and an understanding of the principles of harm reduction and health service delivery in NSW. You will also have the following attributes:

Essential:

  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people and respond to people with respect and sensitivity
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.
  • Good understanding of finance processes, reconciling funds, budget preparation and the use of Xero
  • Experience in managing online data bases
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills and advanced computer knowledge
  • Experience dealing with different organisations: attaining quotes, making online orders, booking venues, booking a car in to be serviced
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a small team, be reliable, responsible for tasks undertaken, take direction where needed and be consistent in attendance
  • Current NSW driver’s license

Desirable:

  • Personal experience and understanding of the issues facing people who inject drugs or have used illicit drugs
  • Demonstrated practical understanding of safer drug use and harm reduction strategies
  • Experience working with volunteers
