about NV College

NV College is a not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO 40787) established in 2013. We work across the Mid North Coast from Kempsey to Coffs Harbour. We specialise in the delivery and assessment of accredited training in aged and disability care, home and community care, hospitality, and leadership. We work closely with local industry, providing links to employment opportunities.

One of our local industry partners is currently recruiting for their next intake of Trainees looking for staff to provide individual care support to residents in an aged care facility.

You do not need any prior experience to apply for this opportunity. This is a chance for people entering the workforce or those thinking about a career change.

Opportunity

We are inviting people who are considering a career in the care industry to express their interest in this opportunity. As the trainer, we will support you with a combination of work-place based and classroom training.

To be considered for this opportunity, you need to undertake the following steps.

• Attend Information Session
  • At this session, we will explain the training and pathways to employment.
• Short initial interview
  • We will conduct a short initial interview following the session with interested applicants.
• Complete Care Ready Course
  • These applicants may then choose to undertake a short pre-employment training course with our college. The course consists of 2 units from the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support – and runs for 6 days over 2 weeks. The course is fee-free for eligible students and subsidised under the NSW Government Smart and Skilled program.
• Consider Traineeship
  • Successful applicants may then undertake a CHC33021 Traineeship in Individual Support. This will allow you to continue your studies and be employed at the same time. We will work closely with our local partner to identify suitable candidates for these roles.
