Ochre Education is an innovative Australian not-for-profit founded to drive educational equity and excellence through providing access to practical, high-quality, evidence-based teaching and learning resources to support teachers in the classroom. We have worked with a large group of practising teachers, in partnership with Australian education systems, to develop and provide resources which have been accessed by hundreds of thousands of teachers and students from every jurisdiction and schooling sector in Australia (70,000 teachers across 78% of schools).

The Head of Programs and Partnerships role is a new senior leadership role within Ochre Education to reflect Ochre’s growing needs. This role will enable Ochre to take a more coordinated and rigorous approach to overall program delivery, and support strengthened systems and capacity-building in program delivery across the organisation. It will support the Co-CEOs and Ochre Board with risk management. The role will also support partner management and growth of new partnerships, as well as new opportunities for income generation to support the growth and sustainability of Ochre. The role will need to work closely with all other senior leaders to ensure effective program management, communication and cross-team collaboration across the organisation.

You will have significant experience in program design and delivery, in developing and executing strategic plans, and managing organisational change and risk. You will support the organisation with continuing to strengthen project processes, tools and systems, including capacity for robust program management across our team. You will support the focus on continuous improvement across the team, including through regular project closure and post mortem meetings and reports. You will have strong commercial acumen and lead on overall resource management.

You excel in relationship building, with exceptional interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain strong relationships. You will support the Co-CEOs with creating new partnerships, and ensuring relationships and related programs are well managed, positively maintained and work effectively. You will be proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, with an entrepreneurial spirit. You will feel strongly aligned with our mission to improve educational equity, ensuring all students can access a high-quality curriculum no matter their circumstances. Knowledge and experience in the school education system in Australia is highly desirable.

This job is advertised as a full-time role, however applications for part-time hours are welcome. Our ideal candidate would be able to commit a 9-day fortnight or 4 days per week. Please indicate any requirements or requests in your cover letter.
