About this opportunity:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Administration, support and liaison support for the NW and SW Forensic Programs. This role will support our KickStart Program and Choices Program.

  • KickStart Program: forensic group and individual sessions that follow a comprehensive, guided resource, aimed to develop participants’ understanding of the correlation between their offending and their substance use. It also aims to improve self-efficiency and respectfully challenges behaviours whilst learning new skills to facilitate change and reduce the chances of returning to past behaviours. It is conducted across both the SW and NW Catchment
  • Choices Program: a 3-hour forensic group session run once per quarter in the SW Catchment, designed to explore the relationship between alcohol and other drug use and offending behaviour

The primary responsibility would be to document client information such as attendance and participation, whilst supporting staff in delivering a forensic AOD treatment service.

Duties include but are not limited to…

  • Assisting in preparations for group sessions including booking group rooms and liaising with staff.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with program requirements.
  • Tracking clients’ journey through the program by noting appointment times, allocation to groups and exit information.
  • Liaising with Corrections regarding referrals to the Choices Programs.
  • Preparing and submitting documents on attendance and post-program documents to external stakeholders such as Corrections and Caraniche.
  • Entering and collating data from Redicase and Penelope and other records/data systems
  • Data entry and de-identifying client data for research and evaluation purposes

Key Selection Criteria:

We are looking for a detail-orientated individual to support our clients & staff throughout our programs.

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following:

  1. Qualifications and or a high level of proficiency using information technology
  2. Experience using various data input systems and databases
  3. Excellent MS Office Suite applications skills (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
  4. Excellent telephone skills for inbound and outbound calls
  5. Strong customer service skills including a customer first focus and complaints handling experience
  6. Knowledge and understanding of office procedures
  7. Strong organisation and time management skills
  8. High levels of attention to detail
  9. Problem solving skills and a positive and flexible work attitude
  10. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and to communicate productively within a team and with Odyssey House stakeholders
