The Therapeutic Community (TC) is a long-term residential program. The TC is a 143-bed treatment facility that works with clients to establish healthier relationships, promote personal change and support them in their recovery journey.

The roles are SCHADS level 3 classified roles. The positions are offered as full time, fixed term contracts to 30 June 2023, with possibility of extension if funding allows. The roles are based at the TC in Lower Plenty (with a secondary location at Head Office in Richmond).
The key purpose of the AOD Therapist position is to support the Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Team Leader in delivering programs and standards, model clinical best practice, and promote TC values amongst the staff group, residents and their families.
A day in the life of this position includes engaging with clients in group therapy sessions, case management, client intake and assessment, working alongside Clinical Team members in supporting client understanding and decision making, meeting with team members to discuss client needs, program delivery, completing client records and participating in activities with clients and their children.
