- Status: Full-time Fixed term until 30/06/2026
- Salary: $93,381.24 - $99,929.74 (inclusive of all allowances/loading), plus super
- Qualification: Relevant degree in social work, child art and play therapy, counselling, children or community services
- Location: Wadeye Safe House, Wadeye, Northern Territory

You'll make a difference by
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by victims of domestic, family and sexual violence
- Experience working therapeutically with children and young people
- Proven history of developing and maintaining productive working relationships with key external stake holders and referrers
- Skills and experience in the following: case management and the development of safety plans for children and young people and their families experiencing or at risk of domestic family and sexual violence (DFSV)
- Developing and facilitating education and awareness raising programs that target early intervention and protective behaviours to reduce the impact of DFSV with a focus on delivering holistic support and early intervention programs for children and young people and relevant community members
- Evidence‐based trauma informed practices in the delivery of programs and services including psychosocial support, therapeutic programs and early intervention to support emotional wellbeing
- Support families to access local support networks and specialist agencies where available
- Respect and account for cultural consideration when developing programs and strategies to reduce DFSV

About You
You will be incredibly versatile; able to provide holistic therapeutic support, run educational programs, and work with the broader community to achieve genuine outcomes – all in a day’s work. You will also need:
- A relevant qualification in social work, psychology, welfare or community services is a requirement of this position.
- Eligible to work in Australia
- Satisfactory Police Clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
- Current working with children card (valid in NT)
- Northern Land Council Permit- residential
- Current Driver's licence
