The Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN) is the national body of a network comprised of nine state and territory organisations that deliver advocacy, information and education services throughout Australia. OPAN is independent of government and from aged care providers.
The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for delivering on the Diversity Educators Project. This project aims to educate aged care providers, across all aged care delivery types, on the delivery of culturally safe and inclusive services to people from diverse and marginalised groups. Additionally, the Senior Project Officer will have oversight of Diversity Educators across Australia, who will deliver education, training and resources to aged care providers.
The Senior Project Officer will also liaise directly with an Advisory Group consisting of peak diversity bodies, researchers, older people and other relevant organisations. They will assist with training of the Diversity Educators, and building of communities of practice, as well as ensuring good data collection for the project evaluation.
Our office is based in Surry Hills. However, it is possible for this role to work remotely.
