Open Minds is seeking a dynamic Clinical Lead to join our team! Funded by the Country to Coast Primary Health Network (PHN), our Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, and Suicide Prevention (MHAODSP) stepped care services provide comprehensive, integrated, and person-centred care across Central Queensland, Wide Bay, and the Sunshine Coast.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the Clinical Care Coordination component of our stepped care service, which provides comprehensive support to individuals with severe and complex mental health conditions by integrating clinical care with psychosocial support and connecting them to necessary services. You will work with the Operations Manager to establish and deliver Clinical Care Coordination services across the CCQ region, providing clinical oversight and leadership to a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, you will oversee The Way Bay Support Service, an innovative non-clinical outreach program aimed at minimising risk, reducing suicide re-attempts, enhancing social connectedness, improving access to support services, and empowering individuals to self-manage their mental wellbeing.

About you:

Are you a professional, innovative, and caring clinician who thrives as part of a multi-disciplinary team, enjoys working with diverse stakeholders, and has leadership experience? We’re looking for someone who excels in delivering high-quality mental health services and can adapt to changing environments.

We’re also looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, mental health nursing, or a relevant discipline.
  • Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Demonstrated excellence in mental health service delivery, with advanced knowledge and skills in assessment and interventions.
  • Experience working in cross-cultural settings, particularly with First Nations People, and in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, organisational, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Current open Driver Licence.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to hold one.
  • Undergo a current and satisfactory Police Check.
