The position works within the leadership team and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible the following outcomes:

Finance & Financial Reporting

  • Responsible for the finance function within the business.
  • Development of the Financial and Management Accounting systems and processes.
  • Oversee financial reporting
  • Cash flow and debt management.
  • Ensures the finance team work closely with operational leaders and the executive to share reports and analysis findings.
  • Advice regarding improving efficiencies and cost reductions.
  • Ad-hoc analysis.
  • Managing external financial audits and mandatory financial reporting requirements.
  • Responsibility for payroll management systems ensuring high controls levels and maintained systems and processes including outsourced provider management.

Information Technology

  • Management of IT infrastructure (with external contractor) and IT planning.

Compliance

  • Maintain the Compliance / Obligations register for Orana Gardens Ltd (OGL) with input for business partners with regards to their obligations.
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies and practices related to areas of responsibility that reflect contemporary, evidence-based approaches and meet legislative requirements.
  •  Coordinate the Internal Audit Program and monitor the organisations completion of recommendations from audit findings.
  • Develop reporting governance.
  • Project Management.

Business Development & Strategy

  • Reviewing and assessing the feasibility of opportunities and strategies by providing comprehensive business cases on prospective concepts, growth opportunities and strategies.
  • Preparation of high quality commercial assessments, contemporary financial modelling, reviews of outcomes and communicating modelling information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Researching funding opportunities and preparation of grant/funding applications.

Essential:

  • CPA or Chartered Accountant.
  •  Degree in Accounting / Business.
  • Working knowledge and experience in the provision of proactive financial support to facilitate organisational profitability.
  • Developing or proven leadership skills identified in previous management of people or teams.
  • Superior technical and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the aged care or health environment.
