Are you a content writer with clinical experience? Are you familiar with literature on digital interventions for mental health conditions and psychological interventions? Here’s your chance to work for the organisation leading the way in digital youth mental health and to help make a difference!
Orygen Digital, the digital arm of Orygen, includes the world’s leading and largest research program of digital interventions specifically designed to enhance youth mental health services. Over the next 12 months, Orygen digital will rapidly expand. As part of this, we are seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified therapeutic content writer to work across two projects. The successful candidate will work along-side a multidisciplinary team to develop therapeutic content for two online, digital interventions for young people with a range of mental health difficulties.
The first project involves the development of written therapeutic content for our unique web platform called Moderated Online Social Therapy (MOST). MOST integrates newsfeed-style social networking, psychoeducational therapy units and a forum to talk about and crowdsource solutions to personal issues, all within a clinical and peer moderated environment. The second project involves working alongside researchers, developers, and young people to design a smartphone app that delivers momentary interventions targeting rumination in young people with depression and/or anxiety.
The ideal candidate will work full time across two projects, however we may consider offering two roles at part time within each project. The initial appointment will be fixed term for four months with a possibility of renewal subject to funding.
We are seeking candidates with AHPRA psychologist registration (clinical registrar or clinical psychologist preferred) or completing training in clinical psychology, ideally with familiarity with literature on digital interventions for mental health conditions and psychological interventions for, or mechanisms underpinning, mental health conditions in youth.
As a guide, remuneration of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum pro rata is offered, dependent on skills and experience; NFP generous salary sacrificing opportunities are also available to the successful candidate.
Please refer to the Position Description below for the selection criteria and other duties, skills and experience required for this position.
