Your new team

Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides specialist mental health services, focusing on early intervention, for young people aged 15 to 25 with severe and complex mental illness.

Your new role:

  • Coordinate the Management of Clinical Aggression (MOCA) Program across OSP, including the delivery of training, assessing training outcomes through local rehearsals and participating in an ongoing evaluation process across the various settings.
  • Provide strategic direction for the ongoing development of the MOCA program including the training model and project aims.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders and external stakeholders to continuously shape the approach to MOCA across our services.
  • Coordinate MOCA education and training components in accordance RMH/OSP policy and procedure, inclusive of any changes to the program as Orygen grows and transforms.

About You:

  • Comprehensive clinical expertise to initiate and lead evidence-based nursing practice in the delivery of care to young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Experience in training, especially MOCA.
  • Leadership experience, including provision of consultation, and education to clinical workforce.
  • Nurses from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
