The Online Youth Mental Health Clinician will directly support young people using MOST in our established service roll out throughout Western Australia as well as supporting young people in our new venture to expand into VIC, QLD, NSW and the ACT mental health services.

Young people will be able to engage with clinical content and other appropriate features within MOST, such as social networking, and peer and vocational support.

Reporting to the Senior Clinician, WA you will:

  • Welcome and onboard young people to the MOST platform as well as those joining the under 15’s platform.
  • Assist MOST users to effectively engage with clinical content and other appropriate features within MOST, such as social networking, peer and vocational support.
  • Maintain weekly contact with MOST users, via messaging, discussions on the online forums, text message or telephone contact.
  • Maintain accurate records of engagement with young people and monitor the safety of young people on the platform and respond as required.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatric Nursing or Social Work and full registration with AHPRA or eligibility with AASW.
  • An understanding of youth mental health systems and an ability to apply this knowledge to the Orygen Digital context.
  • Experience working in clinical settings within the Western Australian youth mental health system.
  • Demonstrated sound ability to make decisions, problem solve, and risk manage, in relation to young person’s treatment.
  • Demonstrated awareness of mental health and social issues, experience working with individuals experiencing crises, and experience working with high-risk clients.

This is a part to full-time (0.6-1.0 FTE) contract until 31st December 2024.
