Your new team

The Orygen Recovery (YPARC) is an emerging sub-acute bed-based residential 24-hours, 7-days a week program supporting young people aged 15-25 stepping up/down to intervene early and prevent further deterioration.

Your new role

  • Support team on shift-by-shift basis with clinical interventions, mental health and risk assessments, and providing recovery-oriented care
  • Provide specialist mental health nursing including nutritional state, medication management, interventions for managing side effects and monitoring physical health status
  • Escalation of care – liaise with other services within Orygen and community services
  • Work with lived experience workforce and families/carers to support young people with their recovery goals

About you

  • Relevant registration and qualifications (see position description for details)
  • Advanced mental health nursing skills, including the assessment and management of high-risk clinical situations
  • Knowledge of mental health system of care, the common mental health and substance use issues faced by young people, and evidence-based treatments for major adolescent health issues
  • Shift leadership experience
