About the job

In this dynamic role, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of research projects, manage critical databases, and coordinate secretariat duties for the Orygen Research Review Committee. You’ll also contribute to quarterly board reporting and work closely with our dedicated Research Office team to shape the future of youth mental health outcomes.

Reporting to the Director, Research Operations you will:

  • Enhance Research Management: Streamline processes, identify efficiencies, implement technology solutions, track governance progress, and develop policies.
  • Database Management: Maintain research project databases, monitor milestones and recruitment, track grants, and provide reports for stakeholders.
  • Committee & Reporting Support: Coordinate reporting, manage ethics and governance submissions, provide secretariat duties, and organise research events.
  • Administrative Coordination: Build key stakeholder relationships, prepare reports and presentations, support meetings, and handle correspondence.

Skills and experience

The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or experience and expertise or knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Strong Administrative and Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing databases, coordinating projects, and supporting senior staff with sound judgement and discretion.
  • High-Level Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office 365, cloud-based software, and managing complex work structures, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Communication and Teamwork: Outstanding written and verbal skills, including secretariat duties, with a customer-focused approach and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Flexible and Outcome-Driven: Adaptable to changing work demands, demonstrating initiative, continuous improvement, and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.

Benefits

  • $75,000 - $85,000 pro rata commensurate with skills and experience + 11.5% superannuation and $15,900 in NFP salary packaging + $2,600 meals and entertainment card & personal use car.
