Orygen Specialist Programs (OSP), a program of Melbourne Health, provides specialist mental health services for young people aged 15 to 25 and focuses on providing early intervention to young people with severe and complex mental illness.
Orygen Specialist Program Inpatient Unit (IPU) is located in Footscray on the Western Hospital site. The IPU includes a 16-bed low dependency area and a further three beds (ICA-EAST) for targeted specialised service delivery for youth with complex mental health and psychosocial needs.
The Orygen Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team provides specialist youth mental health care in youth justice custodial settings including the Parkville and Cherry Creek sites.
