The Senior Clinician - Supervisor will provide supervision to students and staff within headspace Werribee, and support the development of our emerging Early Careers graduate program. The Senior Clinician will demonstrate leadership in the clinical decision-making processes and be part of an innovative organisation leading the way with evidence-based clinical interventions and graduate workforce development.
Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager the Senior Clinician - Supervisor will:

  • Assist the development and delivery of the student placements program at the headspace Werribee service including coordinating student placements and university relationships
  • Support the field supervision of student and staff including graduates in both group format and on an individual basis. This will include task supervision, mentorship and application of knowledge though coaching and consultations.
  • Provide clinical leadership in the clinical case review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure appropriate clinical service pathway and service delivery.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Tertiary qualification in Clinical Psychology and full registration with AHPRA.
  • Psychologists applicants must be registered as Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, eligible to provide supervision to provisional psychologists, psychology Registrars, and endorsed Clinical Psychologists.
  • Significant experience in the provision of mental health care, including completion of mental health assessments, crisis intervention, psychoeducation and psychosocial interventions for young people experiencing mental health difficulties and/or substance use problems.
