Working within the Government Relations, Policy and Evidence Directorate, the Senior Advisor, Evidence and Monitoring provides data expertise across the organisation and ensures effective identification, analysis and use of data across Our Watch’s work. This includes monitoring the national research landscape to identify relevant developments and new evidence, with a focus on the release of new quantitative data and statistics, and population-level data, in particular. The position also supports Our Watch’s national leadership on monitoring progress in prevention by supporting collaboration with and coordination between government and non-government stakeholders.
You will have a strong understanding of intersectionality and a tertiary qualification in social or political science, public policy, public health, gender studies, community development or other area of relevance, or equivalent experience. You will also have demonstrated experience in producing high quality written materials including reports and other documents for different audiences, and distilling and conveying key messages in plain language to different audiences. Knowledge or previous experience in primary prevention or gender equality work and organisations is not a prerequisite but is advantageous.
