About Us

Outcome Health is a not-for-profit organisation with over 20 years of experience in clinical and digital health. Our Mental Health Program provides services through face-to-face and Telehealth consultations. We’re expanding our offerings to include specialist psychiatric assessment and management with a focus on University Students, and ADHD. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to vary referral streams to align with your areas of expertise and interests.

You will be supported by a team of Snr Mental Health Nurses, providing pre- screening and post review follow-up along with administrative support, co-ordinating / managing appointments.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team and help us make a real difference. Your main role will include:

• Providing psychiatric assessments and diagnoses, especially focusing on referrals from local Universities, Chronic Conditions and ADHD.
• Building therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Working closely with families and carers.
• Ensuring patients stick to their medication and providing information on physical health care.
• Coordinating care with our multidisciplinary team, supported by our experienced mental health nurses.

What You Need

Qualifications:

• Licensed Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
• Specialist Psychiatrist registered for Medicare-funded care.
• Experience in both acute and community mental health settings.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and mental health diagnostic criteria.
• Annual clinical registration/credentialing check and professional indemnity insurance.

Skills and Qualities:

• Great communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Flexible approach, including options for after-hours and Telehealth consults.

• Help develop and promote our service processes.
• Coordinate and manage appointments.

• Keep up with professional development.

Team Support

You’ll have the support of a team of experienced mental health nurses who handle all aspects of client care, including pre-screening and post-review follow-up, ensuring comprehensive care and support for all clients.
