The Senior Aboriginal Practice Lead will work to ensure that participating First Nations children, young people and their families benefit from OzChild programs and services. Working with OzChild’s Teams, for the effective delivery of OzChild Services to First Nations Children, Young People and their Families /Kin /Carers, the Senior Aboriginal Practice Lead will contribute to the provision of culturally responsive services and a culturally safe working environment through consultation and engagement with OzChild staff, First Nations Peoples, stakeholders and relevant Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations. The role will also lead initiative and activities that align with our strategic plan and commitment to self-determination of Fist Nations peoples. With a focus on stakeholder engagement and communication, this role ensures a project management framework is implemented to continuously support OzChild’s commitment.
The Senior Aboriginal Practice Lead has specialist knowledge and applies this in their decision making and the provision of expert advice to other areas of OzChild.
In consultation with the Director National Aboriginal Practice and Partnerships:
This role will be based in either Yarraville, Dandenong or Frankston, however some coaching/reflective practice will be required to be delivered in the Goulburn & Warrrnambool areas up to 3 times a year.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a police check and all safety screening relating Victoria
