An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Blacktown Office working as a Teacher in our TFCO team.
Treatment Foster Care Oregon (TFCO) is an internationally proven program that intervenes with children in residential care whose behaviour makes it difficult to sustain placements. This program has demonstrated success in transforming children's behaviour, making it possible for children to settle into a stable family environment.
The purpose of the position is to provide support to strengthen the benefit of services to children, young people and their families in specified areas. Many students referred to TFCO have experienced trauma in their lives as a result of neglect, abuse, violence or being witness to violence, or disrupted attachment. Our students may have significant gaps in education and find it difficult to learn in a group setting, while presenting with behavioural and emotional problems at school. The purpose of the Teacher role is to provide educational support to the children and young people in the program and work closely with the Teacher, school and treatment team to support the child to achieve success in educational settings.
As the education subject matter expert in this team your role is delivered in schools to help support educational outcomes. Our students may have significant gaps in education and find it difficult to learn in a group setting, while presenting with behavioural and emotional problems that impact on their education.
