About PALS

PALS is an NDIS-registered, Not-for-Profit provider of supports for people who live with disability.

We are located in Yarrawonga and provide a range of different services including Supported Independent Living, Community Access, and Support Coordination and operating three Social Enterprises.

Our services are delivered across the shire of Moira.

The Role/s

PALS Board members are volunteer positions.

The Board consists of a Chair, 4-9 Board members and CEO.

The Board meets monthly via MS Teams plus additional sub-committee meetings and an annual strategic planning day.

Board Members

As a Board Member of PALS, you will play a critical role as part of the Board and alongside the Executive Team in the strategic leadership and governance of the organisation.

The Candidate(s)

The PALS Board supports diversity and aims to reflect the community in which we support and invite applications from people with diverse backgrounds, genders, identities and abilities.

We are looking for applications from people with some or all the following skills and attributes for this exciting opportunity:

• Lived experience of disability.
• Experience in Finance, Economics, Law or Business leadership and growth.
• Local connection to Moira Shire or knowledge of regional Australia.
• Previous experience in Directorship.
• Experience with Board governance processes and frameworks.
• Willingness to promote, encourage and support diversity, equality and inclusiveness, including accepting and furthering the embedding the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) into practice.
