We are seeking a highly motivated Board Member to join our team. This role is a voluntary position and will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and governance to the organisation, ensuring that it operates in accordance with its mission and values.
The Parenting Research Centre (PRC) exists to help children thrive by driving improved ways of supporting parenting. We have been assisting governments and community agencies put the best scientific evidence on parenting support into action for more than 20 years. We work in the fields of child health, education and welfare, synthesising, translating, and exchanging knowledge so that it can make a difference in the real world. As well as working with policy makers and practitioners, we have several flagship programs that directly support parents including raisingchildren.net.au and other national programs. PRC also leads national initiatives around parenting and children’s well-being.
We are seeking to replace three retiring board members in line with our fixed-term appointment policy. This creates a governance opportunity for talented people who are committed to enhancing the wellbeing of children and families.

We seek individuals with demonstrated leadership qualities, who believe they could make a substantial contribution to the leadership of this dynamic organisation, and who can bring the following skills and characteristics:
We are particularly interested in talking to people with non-executive director, or executive/senior management experience in governance, and/or experience in business processes, consultancies, and technology.
