The goal of Parkinson’s NSW is to improve the connection between people living with Parkinson’s (including caregivers) and the services which exist to support them – as well as improving knowledge of Parkinson’s within the community.
This role will ensure fundraising and community activities are supported and enhanced through production and sharing of resources, personal support to community fundraisers and support groups and the co-ordination of events. The role will liase with 3rd party fundraisers and the fundraising and marketing team as well as local support groups to build engagement and support fundraising activities.
Parkinson’s NSW is a not-for-profit organisation striving to make life better for people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and carers. It provides essential services such as counselling, Support Groups, a 1800 InfoLine, community-based Specialist Nurses, and community and professional education, while raising awareness and advocating to improve the lives of people living with Parkinson’s.
Parkinson’s NSW is seeking to appoint a Community and Fundraising Events Officer to join our Fundraising team and work closely with our Marketing team. With sound knowledge of fundraising, community fundraising and relationship building you will be part of a marketing, communications and fundraising team that enables Parkinsons NSW to achieve its goals. You should be able to demonstrate previous experience in this space for a smaller not-for-profit organisation where you have had a wide range of experience.
To succeed in the role you will be an experienced hands on community fundraising professional, highly organised with excellent time management skills and resilience.
