Job Description

The identified First Nation Partnership Officer works closely with the Head of Partnerships and Processes and Impact Area heads to deliver PRF’s work across the Foundation. This includes development of processes, templates and approaches that foster excellence and consistency through the grant-making lifecycle, delivery support for specific impact areas based on need, as well as leading the delivery of cross-cutting grants towards our stated outcomes.

Location of the role: Sydney / Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategy and investment development aligned with impact areas, and for cross-cutting initiatives: Working with others, support the work of identifying and developing impactful partnerships ready for investment for the portfolio
  • Support partnership management activities aligned with impact areas, and for cross-cutting initiatives: working with active partners from the establishment to re-grant/exit in order to support and enable partner delivery in line with our target outcomes.
  • Support documentation, dashboarding and briefing: Prepare high-quality materials for decision-making, including presentations, dashboards and briefs.
  • Supporting innovation and improvement: Support development of practices and processes in program and investment development across the Foundation, shaping how we work toward impact
  • Support knowledge, research, advocacy, and other priorities for the Foundation, as required

Key Selection Criteria

  • Identified position- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person.
  • Experience working in a role requiring strong relationship management, strategic problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to develop executive level presentations and memos 
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve and deliver results in short timeframes 
  • Relevant undergraduate qualification or commensurate experience 

Preferred:

  • Experience and understanding of philanthropic funding, focus areas for the Foundation (learning, employment, justice), and social purpose sector beneficial
  • Lived experience or experience working directly in the Foundations’ areas of focus is desirable.
  • Ability to engage appropriately with communities and beneficiaries, with cultural understanding
  • Experience working with communities and facilitating development and implementation of social programs.
  • Relevant graduate qualification or commensurate experience
