Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people across NSW? Do you have a knack for creating successful donor acquisition strategies, especially via digital channels? PCYC NSW is seeking a results- driven Individual Giving Manager to join our dynamic Fundraising team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in expanding our donor base, increasing donations, diversifying our acquisition strategies and channels, ensuring sustainable growth, and maximising the impact of our charitable work that empowers young people.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Digital, the Individual Giving Manager is responsible for driving the creation and execution of donor acquisition activities with support of the team. You will focus on recruiting new regular giving, cash (one-off and appeal) supporters, and HNWI donors through various channels such as Direct Mail, Telemarketing, Traditional and Digital campaigns. Your role is pivotal in building sustainable acquisition campaigns that expand PCYC’s donor base and diversify our fundraising channels. You will work closely with the rest of the Fundraising team to increase donor lifetime value and to help reduce donor churn, where relevant.

As part of an integrated Fundraising and Marketing team, you will work to achieve our fundraising, communications, and brand objectives by using our incredible stories and testimonials to inspire donors, by connecting them to PCYC NSW, and showcasing the tangible impact of their support. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a comprehensive donor acquisition strategy that aligns with PCYC’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement donor acquisition strategies across digital, telemarketing, and direct mail channels.
  • Donor Acquisition: Identify and recruit long-term donors, manage acquisition channels, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Campaign Development: Create compelling fundraising campaigns, informed by market research and aligned with donor needs.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor program performance, produce campaign briefs, and apply insights for continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Finance, agency, and other internal teams to ensure performance and accurate tracking of the program. Manage relationships with external suppliers and agencies.

ABOUT US

Established in 1937, PCYC NSW is a life changing charity collaborating in partnership with communities and NSW Police to empower youth, get kids active in life and reduce and prevent youth crime. We have sixty-six clubs and eighteen OOSH services across NSW, with a vision for significant growth.

Our aim is to engage with and positively influence over 70,000 youth members through mainstream sport, recreation, education, leadership, and cultural programs. We also work with at-risk youth to break the cycle of disadvantage through crime prevention, vocational education, youth capacity building and social responsibility programs to enhance the life direction and outcomes of over 7,500 youth per year.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced donor acquisition professional with a strong background in managing income and expenditure budgets across various media. Your expertise in donor development, direct marketing, and campaign management makes you well-suited for this role. You have excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a passion for working in the not-for-profit sector.

YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, fundraising, communications, or a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in donor acquisition, with a strong understanding of segmentation, campaign development, and donor insights.
  • Demonstrable experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
