We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated Deadly and Active Program Coordinator for our PCYC Napranum Youth Club. If you like to create engaging cultural activities for your community, we want to hear from you!

Your New Role

You will be responsible for the effective management of sporting and recreational activities, budgets, programming and the supervision of relevant staff. This will include working collaboratively with local Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and other interest groups to ensure that the sport and recreational programs being delivered are addressing the needs of the local community and that they align with the Community Sport and Recreation Action Plan. About You

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or at least 3 years’ experience that would equip you to deliver the outcomes of the position.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships within indigenous communities.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Indigenous Community Councils/groups along with demonstrated capacity to operate programs and services sensitive to the culture.
  • Able to demonstrate success in program development, delivery and evaluation in a not for profit organisation
  • Eligibility for a QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and National Police Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or ability to obtain)

Please note: Working With Children Check (Blue Card) No Card, No Start and Restricted Person legislation applies. All PCYC employees are required to complete a National Police Check upon commencement.
