We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate First Nations Partnership Manager to join our Youth and Community Programs team.

This position plays a crucial role in creating mutually beneficial collaborations between First Nations communities an external stakeholders for PCYC Queensland.

This position has the flexibility to be based at one of our PCYC clubs around Queensland (subject to availability).

Your New Role

The First Nations Partnership Manager will work to facilitate mutually beneficial collaborations between First Nations communities and external stakeholders, driving sustainable development and promoting cultural understanding through strategic initiatives and relationship building.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in conducting meaningful community consultations and engagement processes with First Nations communities.

About You

  • It is a genuine occupational requirements for Identified roles that the role be filled by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 in the Anti Discrimination Act 1991. Therefore, Proof of Aboriginality is required to be successful in this role. .   • A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable, or significant experience in the industry in lieu of a qualification.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role working across either community, government or corporate sectors.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the governance of the Reconciliation Action Plan.
  • Demonstrated ability in contract management across government corporate community entities.
  • Demonstrated ability working with Government stakeholders at a local and state level to add value to existing youth engagement strategies.
  • Ability to successfully engage with First Nations stakeholders.
  • Strong existing relationships across all tiers of governments (strongly desirable).
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build sustained relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel across the state as required
  • Hold a current unrestricted driver’s license.
