The Family Violence Intake and Assessment Practitioner is a valued member of the Family Violence Program at Peninsula Health. The role works within the state-funded Safety and Support Hubs, formally known as The Orange Door (TOD). The Family Violence Practitioner responds to the identified needs of women and children in our community by responding to referrals for children, victim survivors and Adults Using Family Violence (AUFVs). This position will be based within the Peninsula Health Bentleigh Orange Door site.
Peninsula Health holds the specialist portfolio for people who use violence, the majority of whom are men. The Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Practice Guides and assessment tools for professionals working with adults who use family violence are utilised to undertake this practice.
Together with your Integrated Team, the role of the Peninsula Health Orange Door Family Violence Intake and Assessment Practitioner is to provide comprehensive risk management and safety planning to clients who access the Orange Door. This is achieved through the delivery of screening and triage, assessment, crisis response and service planning. Targeted interventions, allocation and coordinated referrals consistent with the Integrated Practice Framework, Operational Guidelines, Service Specifications and relevant risk assessment tools and frameworks. The position reports operationally to the Orange Door Integrated Team Leader and in line management to the Peninsula Health Team Leader.

Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
