The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is the fundraising arm of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Fundraising plays a crucial role in advancing cancer research at Peter Mac with funds raised accelerating the search for cancer cures.

YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE

  • Develop meaningful relationships with your own portfolio of gifts in Wills prospects and pledgers
  • Solicit and promote gifts in Wills within Peter Mac’s donor pool and the wider community
  • Provide highest levels of donor care for confirmed gifts in Wills supporters
  • Ongoing, part-time (0.6 or 0.8 FTE), hybrid

Peter Mac’s Gifts in Wills program is responsible for promoting gifts in Wills to new and existing Peter Mac supporters and plays a critical role in generating significant income to support Peter Mac’s life-saving research.

Reporting to the Gifts in Wills and Estates Manager, you will join one of Australia’s leading Gifts in Wills programs and be part of an established, engaged, supportive and results-driven team. You will be responsible for acquiring, cultivating and soliciting gifts in Wills, and for the stewardship of confirmed bequestors and their annual giving through personal donor engagement, primarily through phone and mail.

You are a natural communicator, adept at building rapport and trust, and passionate about gifts in Wills fundraising. Your emotional intelligence and previous experience in fundraising, customer service, telemarketing or face-to-face will see you develop strong, meaningful relationships with your portfolio of new and existing gifts in Wills prospects and donors.

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated experience in donor development and solicitation (Gifts in Wills experience an advantage), or customer service.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, with the ability to relate sensitively to people, especially people of a senior age.
  • Competency in maintaining information for consistent and regular recording and reporting of engagement activity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively both autonomously and as a member of a team.
  • Passionate about gifts in Wills fundraising.
  • Fundraising database experience, preferably Blackbaud.

Remuneration as per Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025, $66,768.00 per annum to $75,000.00 per annum (prorated for part time), depending on candidate experience.
