Ninti One (Ninti) is an Indigenous, Supply Nation registered not-for-profit organisation. We have offices in Alice Springs and Adelaide with staff and associates based in other States and Territories. We work collaboratively with communities and relevant agencies to achieve social and economic development outcomes. Since our establishment in 2003, Ninti has been building opportunities with communities through research, innovation, and engagement in Australia – and more recently, in a range of sectors across the Pacific and Asia. We have had a stable Board over the last decade, Chaired by Prof Tom Calma AO.
We work in a broad range of areas including Aged Care, Children and Families, Disability, Education, Employment, Health and International and Regional Development. Ninti’s vision is to build opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, through research, innovation, and community engagement.
The TIS program has contributed to a reduction of almost 50,000 fewer First Nations adult daily smokers since 2005. The National Best Practice Unit Tackling Indigenous Smoking (NBPU TIS) is part of the national TIS program, whereby the NBPU TIS supports 26 regional tobacco control grant recipients (GR) in their efforts to reduce the rates of smoking and vaping among First Nations peoples.
Ninti is the head contractor of this overall 4-year $24 million activity where it leads a consortium with the University of Canberra (UC) and Edith Cowan University (ECU).
The Project Manager will work closely with the Project Director and National Program Manager NBPU TIS to ensure the management of the overall NPBU TIS Contract is delivered with timeliness, quality and within budget. The contract is responsible for sharing and applying evidence-based research and resources; delivering TIS workforce training and development activities; providing guidance to TIS teams to support their planning and performance reporting responsibilities under the program.
Other aspects of this role include managing sub-contracts with UC and ECU, and furthermore managing the administration of the National Reach and Priority Projects (NRPP) which focuses predominantly on Youth, Pregnant Women and the delivery of outcomes in remote communities.
Ninti One are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Project Manager with a successful track record in stakeholder engagement. You will be adept at time management and can prioritise, show attention to detail and be across all stages of a project lifecycle. You will ideally understand financial management, particularly in the project budget context. To be successful in this role, you will show a demonstrated commitment to reconciliation. Experience in funding or grant administration is desirable.
