An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Giving team at Plan International Australia as the Appeals and Cash Giving Officer, with an exclusive focus on our Cash Giving programme. This is an exciting 5 month fixed-term position, covering a Long Service leave term within the team. The role will support our Giving Manager, Cash & Gift in Wills to oversee a $1.7 million portfolio of Cash income from seasonal cash appeals, emergency appeals and Gifts of Hope virtual gifts programme. You will have the opportunity to take the lead on project managing some smaller fundraising initiatives, while supporting the Giving Manager, Cash and Gift in Wills with the early development phase of the biggest appeal of the year (Tax Appeal) and scoping out a revitalisation of Gifts of Hope.

Who are we?

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for – and respond to – crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 85 years, and are now active in more than 80 countries.

Our office is in Melbourne and we operate a hybrid working model.

We work hard, but we are always flexible and supportive, offering inclusive leave. We have regular team meetings, as well as department and organisation-wide catch ups. From salary packaging to an Employee Assistance Program to support your wellbeing, we are a people-first workplace. Plus, you will be joining a team that recently won FIA’s Fundraising Team of the Year!
