Your New Role with us!

  • The salary range (excluding superannuation) is $74,986 to $96,410, depending on skills and experience.
  • We are looking for Project Officers to join the PHA digital systems team!

Our Project Officers work across a diverse range of projects and programs, supporting PHA in the following ways:

  • Support delivery of PHA's various digital systems
  • Assist in the development of training and resources for the relevant digital systems
  • Assist with identifying and developing initiatives that support collecting and collating information on plant pests.
  • Initiate, develop, update and finalise support material such as guides, training presentations or fact sheets.
  • Assist with the development of progress updates and reports on the delivery of the relevant digital systems
  • Provide technical information, customer metrics and data visualisations (e.g. Power BI) for various uses
  • Undertake user acceptance testing of new system functionality as directed or required
  • Support collections managers or other users of our digital systems with the upload of new records or other data sets
  • Provide administrative support and coordination to assist the Chair for steering committees and technical groups associated with PHA’s digital systems

To be successful as a PHA Project Officer you will have:

  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Great communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great organisational and secretariat support skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable).

The positions will ideally be performed in the PHA Office in Canberra (although we are open to discussing remote opportunities with the right candidate and flexible working arrangements). These roles are available on a full-time or part-time basis (various opportunities ranging from 2 days per week to full time) for an initial 12-month period, with the potential for extension.
