Celebrating more than 60 years of service to the community, the Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF) is Australia’s leading body committed to preventing and minimising harm from alcohol and other drug problems in communities around the nation. The ADF aims to create an Australian culture that supports people to live healthy, safe and satisfying lives, unaffected by drug and alcohol problems. The organisation’s work reaches millions of people in local communities through sporting clubs, health and community care settings and schools, offering educational information, drug and alcohol prevention programs and advocating for strong and healthy communities.
Reporting into the Regional Community Development Manager and working within a collaborative and close-knit team, you will play a pivotal role in building the capacity of local communities to prevent drug and alcohol-related harm through evidence-based prevention programs. Responsible for delivering Good Sports and Local Drug Action Team (LDAT) programs and associated administrative workflows and reporting requirements, you will develop and nurture relevant stakeholder relationships, conduct workshops, facilitate community forums, and represent the ADF at external events.
Excited by the prospect of working for a dynamic, inclusive and forward-thinking organisation committed to inspiring positive change, you offer proven ability in the delivery of health promotion and or community development programs. You have a natural flair for connecting with people and proactively developing key relationships with stakeholders, including community sporting clubs, leagues and associations, local councils and community health services as this role does require interstate travel.
