About the opportunity

We have a newly created, rare opportunity for a motivated Lead to join us in providing technical and project leadership in the planning, establishment, and implementation of the TasLink data linkage program for Tasmania – partnering with the Tasmanian Government, Tasmanian Data Linkage Unit, Australian Government and national Primary Health Network Cooperative.

Tasmania is only the second region in Australia to explore linking general practice data with jurisdictional administrative datasets!

What you would be doing

The Lead – Data Linkage Projects and Partnerships will contribute to the capability of delivering a regularly refreshed dataset that will help us understand patient journeys across the Tasmanian Health System, and measure the impact of population health initiatives on patient health outcomes and experience.

Reporting to the Manager – Digital Transformation you will:

  • Provide leadership in planning, establishing and implementing the TasLink data linkage program
  • Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to design a linked health dataset
  • Project manage initial analysis and reporting against the linked dataset
  • Work with internal communications team to design website presence and marketing strategy for the program
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive data and quality improvement program for general practice and other primary health organisations, while supporting internal business units for implementation

  • Solid data linkage expertise – understanding of methodology and processes such as data integration, validation, metadata and data standard and curation support
  • Ability to engage and work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders involved in the project
  • Proven project management success in meeting project timelines and achieving results
  • The ability to go beyond the statistical and technical by showing vision and creativity, communicate clearly and persuasively and be able to work well with everyone involved in the project to pull it all together
