About the opportunity

Join our Partnership and Integration team if you're passionate about improving healthcare systems and working with different partners. We focus on understanding health policies, improving system factors, and enhancing population health. We use diverse skills to create innovative solutions and aim to strengthen service coordination for an effective healthcare system.

In this newly created position, you'll be part of a fast-paced, collaborative, and motivated team focused on strategic health reform, testing new integrated care models, and making a real difference in local communities. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to travel across Tasmania, and enjoy a culture of continuous improvement.

What you would be doing

Working closely with Manager – Partnership and Integration your focus will be working with prioritised local communities and co-designing tailored interventions that address specific local needs and conditions. This will include:

  • Management and coordination of local projects
  • Consulting with local providers and consumers
  • Forming working groups
  • Developing multidisciplinary models of care specific to local needs that are sustainable in primary health
  • Coordinating the development of statewide primary health workforce strategies to address current shortages

Here's what you’ll look like

Ideally your skills and experience may include:

  • Regional planning – leadership and/or participation in system level activity or whole-of-system frameworks
  • Stakeholder engagement – proven success in improving approaches to appropriate community level planning and engagement (e.g. place-based approaches)
  • Innovation – demonstrated leadership in creativity and innovation, including the ability to effectively and efficiently test how evidence-informed models and strategies may be applied for improved integration of care in health or related systems
  • You’ll be a culture champion – understanding that every day, you play an important part of what makes Primary Health Tasmania a great place to work
