ADA Australia is a state-wide, not-for-profit, independent, community-based advocacy and education service, supporting and improving the wellbeing of older people and people with disability. ADA Australia has nine offices throughout Queensland, with our head office located in Geebung, North Brisbane.

We are seeking applications for a permanent full-time or part-time Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Advocate for the Townsville area. This position is classified as SACS level 5.1 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advocate provides information, education, representation and advocacy support to ADA Australia’s clients, particularly those from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities. We aim to empower clients to make their own choices and have their rights and interests respected and upheld.
