The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body representing, advocating, and supporting Queensland's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection and family support sector and youth justice.
By sharing our collective knowledge and experience, we can all make a positive impact on policies and practices to stop the overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in Queensland’s child protection and youth justice systems.

About the role

The Executive Support Officer role focuses on providing comprehensive administrative support to the executive leadership team.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Executive Support Officer will play a crucial role in assisting the Chief of Staff by managing diary commitments and coordinating executive activity across the organisation.

The role requires you to demonstrate experience in compiling correspondence, reports, and documents, emphasizing professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Typical Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the executive leadership team, including managing calendars and schedules, prioritising correspondence and screening telephone calls.
  • Oversee administrative functions for the Office of the CEO to ensure efficient operations.
  • Handle inquiries, emails, briefings, and organisational documents with attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate the compilation of correspondence, reports, agendas, minute taking and distribution.
  • Facilitate information exchange within the executive team and across the organisation.
  • Support in planning key events and initiatives and ensure timely delivery and accuracy of event materials.
  • Assist in organising activities and allocating resources based on priorities set by the Office of the CEO.

Desired skills, experience, and capabilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft products and a readiness to acquire or enhance skills in information management systems.
  • Proven capability to work autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team setting, prioritise tasks to meet deadlines, and handle sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high level confidential, executive administrative support including the ability to produce high quality documents with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Mandatory requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or similar qualification and/or relevant work experience would be highly regarded.
  • A current valid Queensland Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply.
  • Drivers Licence (preferable but not mandatory)
