The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body representing, advocating, and supporting Queensland's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection and family support sector.

About the role
The Finance and Administration Officer will play a crucial role in supporting QATSICPP’s core function. In this dynamic role, you will focus on financial support, including data entry and reconciliations, alongside essential administrative tasks such as reception duties, travel management, and event support.
Your strong organisational skills and adaptability will be essential for maintaining the smooth operations of our team. This role presents a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our efforts in reducing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the child protection and youth justice systems.
Typical Duties and responsibilities:
- Managing payroll, accounts receivable, and debt collection
- Providing administrative support across the organisation
- Assisting with compliance-related tasks and document management
- Providing reception and maintaining the office which includes but is not limited to meeting and greeting guests, managing the administration mailbox, answering the main phone and responding to queries, stationery orders, re-stocking the kitchen, ensuring meeting rooms are presentable at all times, assisting with HR onboarding and assist the organisation with any travel, event or ad hoc requirements.

Desired skills, experience, and capabilities:
- Proven experience in finance and administration, particularly with invoicing and payroll.
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
