The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body representing, advocating, and supporting Queensland's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection and family support sector.

About the role

The Senior Administration Officer will play a central role in ensuring the seamless operation of our team. This position operates with a high degree of autonomy, and is required to set priorities, organise and monitor administrative support functions for the organisation.

You will be responsible for various tasks including reception duties, maintenance of the office, finance support (data entry and reconciliations), travel management, event support, and various other duties.

Typical Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide general administration duties including reception, travel management, onboarding, maintenance of the office, event support, prepare high-quality minutes, documents, reports, and presentations with limited supervision in agreed timeframes.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of administration systems, processes and procedures.
  • Perform finance tasks including data entry, supporting accounts payable processes and reconciliations.
  • Provide general IT and liaison support, including IT setup and creating user accounts in our learning management systems, for the onboarding of new employees and staff.
  • Support recruitment by screening calls, scheduling interviews, and providing administrative assistance to HR during onboarding.
  • Provide project and operational support, including supporting project plans, milestones and deliverables.
  • Other duties as requested by your manager.

  • Strong communicator and able to work at pace with changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability in using Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn and effectively use various software

Mandatory requirements

  • To perform this role, it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Antidiscrimination Act 1991 (QLD).
  • A current valid Queensland Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply.
  • Diploma in Business Management, Administration, Bookkeeping or relevant experience.
  • Driver's licence is desirable but not required.
