QCOSS is looking for a passionate, driven, and innovative Senior Communications and Media Officer who will bring a progressive and contemporary approach to deliver effective media and communications strategies to support the work of QCOSS, including the establishment of a new Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) Peak body for Queensland.

You will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Communications, Media, Journalism, or related discipline (essential) with a minimum 5 years demonstrated experience to fulfil the requirements of the role
  • Demonstrated experience in developing media, communications, and engagement strategies
  • Highly developed writing and editing skills ensuring accuracy and the ability to present information in clear and engaging ways
  • Demonstrated experience providing expert media advice and in-depth knowledge of the media landscape, and capacity to develop engaging stories, information, and content to meet diverse stakeholder needs
  • A record of success in building and maintaining relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders
  • High level demonstrated project management experience including the ability to manage diverse and complex projects within agreed timeframes and competing priorities
  • A strong understanding of and commitment to the work of QCOSS and our commitment to social justice.

What you will get:

We will offer you a flexible, exciting, rewarding full time (38 hrs/week) permanent position in a great place to work.

All this plus a competitive remuneration package between $106,664 - $111,367 per annum dependent on relevant qualifications and experience to fulfil the requirements of the position.

Superannuation of 12% and salary packaging benefits apply in addition to flexible work arrangements including working from home, flex time and time off in lieu provisions.
