The Role

The Maintenance Officer undertakes a broad array of tasks to assist in the smooth function of QEC. Key tasks include but are not limited to ensuring QEC maintenance program is carried out in a safe and time effective manner, repair and maintenance of equipment, goods, furniture removal and set up and assisting trades people and contractors.

Regular tasks include repairing defects or faults to offices, furniture or equipment and undertaking minor painting, plastering, tiling, removing graffiti, grounds maintenance.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a trade or maintenance background.
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to be self-directed.
  • Proficient documentation and computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with families and team members.
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder relationship.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Capable of meeting the physical requirements to effectively carry out duties.
