About the role

This position will split their time between providing support, supervision and performance management to direct supports (60% of time allocation) and direct service delivery to carers (40% of service delivery).

This role is based at our office located right in the heart of North Lakes, next to Westfield.

The primary objectives of this position are:

  • To provide support, supervision and performance management to direct reports
  • To support carers through targeted service provision
  • Support Carers Queensland's peak body function through consultation with carers

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring program progress to achieve key performance indications and program targets, and implementing remedial strategies where necessary
  • Facilitating Carer Advisory Groups and supporting team members to develop their Carer Advisory Groups and progress their implementation plans
  • Planning, facilitating and evaluating carer sessions in consultation with the Carer Health & Wellbeing team
  • Liaising with Regional Primary Care Networks
  • Ensuring team members are supported and excelling in their roles through the use of supervision, team meetings and performance reviews

Do you have?

  • Experience in a senior or management position in the Community Services sector?
  • Demonstrated staff performance, supervision and leadership skills?
  • An understanding of client-centred practice with demonstrated ability and experience interacting and supporting diverse client groups in a positive, friendly and welcoming manner?
  • High level of communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to build rapport and adapt skills according to the audience or target group involved?
  • The ability and skills to be a team player and someone who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment?
