At Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services (QLECS) we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout Queensland.

St James Community Kindergarten, located in Cleveland operates from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and runs a sessional kindergarten program from 8.15am to 2.30pm with extended hours for before and after Kindy care during the school term.

The Role

We are seeking an Educator/Inclusion Support Assistant to work casual during school term time until December 2024.  We offer an immediate start with a three week block in February 2024 to cover long service leave of an employee, and opportunity for additional hours to cover other leave periods and operational needs throughout the year.

Selection Criteria

To be considered, you will have:

• Certificate III Early Childhood Education
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid and CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificates or willingness to complete
• Knowledge and experience of National Quality Standards preferred
• An understanding of the Reggio Emilia Philosophy would be highly regarded
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• A professional and enthusiastic attitude
• Willingness to work within the Christian ethos
